Courageous Authenticity is Your Only Purpose

There's a joke in my class at ICU about calling me "brave". Not to brag, but I get called brave a lot and I'm not entirely a fan. It's not the right word.

I don't feel brave, but I do feel courageous.

Living my life from heart source is resonate, and I believe it is the simplicity of our purpose here on Earth.

Be courageously authentic, whatever that is.

Our purpose is to find out what that is and allow it to live in the world. (A reading with Beloved Presence can help.)

It's a purpose that never ends. Every time I've thought that I know and understand myself, there was more to learn, more to integrate, more to accept, more to know.

Our purpose is ongoing, it’s not "found" and then complete and done. You are all of Creation expressing itself in physical form - how could there possibly be an end to knowing Self?

Courageous authenticity can be painful. It's scary.

The choice to go public with my mediumship gifts is SCARY. Doing what is right for you authenticity is scary. If there wasn't fear involved we would've been doing this years ago. We would have been living from authenticity from the beginning if there hadn't been the message that we are wrong or bad or scary or not okay, not good enough.

We can continue to be a persona - a mask worn to placate the fearful.

But why would we?

Your Authenticity is Effortless and Powerful

People who are not authentic will fear your authenticity. Your authenticity is effortless. It gives you power and strength to stand in your truth. There is no need to defend or fight for your authenticity. There is no need to convince or prove, because authenticity just IS. It is the natural state of your Self.

True purpose does not need us to be anything or become a role or do a thing.

True purpose is to just be in the world as you are. Allow your authentic self to lead and be courageous enough to simply allow that to happen. True purpose doesn't require learning anything, except being present to the awareness of Self and messages of Creation.

Colonized Minds

There has been so much colonizing of our Selves on both the micro and macro scales. Historically, we have been punished and harmed and traumatized when we diverged from the assumed and expected version of reality. So much spiritual truth and wisdom has been denied and forcefully rejected by both religion and science.

I am a fan of research and the scientific method, but it is just one avenue of knowing, not everything. It is but one of many tools to understand truth and reality, not the only tool as the scientific community would like everyone to believe. In that way, science is very much like religion in how they are both married to their self-referencing dogma.

Julian Gough at the Egg and the Rock is discussing this self-referential desert of science. He says we are like the taste buds of the Universe sampling the flavours of itself. Be your fullest taste bud.

Your only purpose is to be who you are - who you have always been and share that with the world in the way that you see fit.

I believe in your ability to know yourself.

You are the best suited to that job. This more than anything else embiggens my hope for us an this world. The more we give ourselves permission to be who we are, and normalize courageous authenticity to exist and be accepted in the world, the greater we will be together.

Know your Self.

Uncover gifts and talents and the purpose for your passion.

Allow yourself and others more freedom to be who we are. Teach each other by example that we are courageous enough to be our authentic selves and stand for authenticity in the world.

You are a world of discovery waiting to be accepted and you are the only one that can open the door to yourself.

Courageous authenticity isn't for some people - it's for all people. Everyone will have to face our fears of rejection and exclusion and losing love when we stand in front of the two paths in the wood. We think one is safety and the other is authenticity. That may be true when we are little and dependent on guardians for life. Safety becomes jail and a coffin for joy when we are adults.

Maybe the people that we admire faced this choice and realized early that authenticity felt safer than rejection.

We can be rejected and unloved by millions as long as we do not reject and stop loving ourselves.

In your Journal:

    • Choose one - or several people that you admire.

      • List at least 10 of the admirable characteristics that you are attracted to, or with you resonate.

  • Choose the top 3 characteristics that have the most emotional oomph to you. You feel a visceral pull to those qualities.

For each one of those 3 qualities you will:

    • Sit with this quality in yourself. There is no right way to do this. Just be present and aware of your body and how it feels as you hold one quality at a time.

    • Fill your body with that quality. Imagine that quality or characteristic filling up every muscle and tissue and cell of your body. Imagine it being absorbed into the atomic level of your being.

    • Be aware of what your body is feeling.

    • Be aware of what your mind is saying.

      • Are you getting any talk back?

      • Are you getting any resistance in your body?

      • In words in your head?

      • In imagined scenarios?

      • In memories?

  • Just be present and record the feelings, thoughts and memories - without judgement, without “shoulding”. Simply accept and observe.

We admire and often feel jealous of what we want in our own lives but feel we can't have - either through not deserving, not good enough, not... something.

Most of this is playing out on the unconscious level and the first step is to become aware.

To become a Beloved Presence to ourselves.
