Let Creation Teach Us About Ourselves
We are in constant communication with Creation.
We exist in a field of vibration that is expressing love and acceptance to us at every moment. We learn to know ourselves in communication with world…
But we’re kinda shit at it because no one teaches us how to do it properly. Mainly because western society is hung up on this idea of “objective separation” (as if it’s something to aspire to). We’re in constant connection with spirit and spirit is eager to teach us about ourselves through every part of the physical world.
The physical world is a mirror of our soul.
Every part of the physical world speaks to us about ourselves. Not because a grackle is coming to land on my shoulder and whisper secret wisdom in my ear. Grackles have a lot to do, they’re busy and focused on their own thing.
We learn by being empathetic and open-hearted enough to see ourselves in another being.
In the same way that a random comment from someone can inspire a connection, or complete a thought or question in our own life - so too can the natural world act as a catalyst for answers we didn’t even know we needed.
Sometimes I turn to Spirit in the world with specific, pointed questions that I am struggling with - or conversely, answers come because I feel connected to and attracted to a particular being in my vicinity.
Empathetic Ways of Knowing
I am learning how to trust heart sense in a much larger and more encompassing way than I have considered in the past. It is the predominant vehicle of spiritual communication in my life and it is centered in connecting to and understanding feeling awareness.
Intuition and feeling are a direct source of knowing in a world that communicates in vibration. My Celtic ancestors lived in a world that was inspirited. They walked in a world enmeshed in the mystic and communicated directly with non-human beings on the regular.
The Old Irish Ogham Alphabet was translated from the direct communication of the sun dancing on human skin. Mothatheacht is direct heart-centered communication with the physical world.
This isn’t a sense that Western European culture has been very keen on promoting or teaching or encouraging it’s people to practice. Regular practice of any skill will make it better, stronger and quicker.
Empathetic ways of knowing is no different. Regular practice of your intuitive heart sense will make it stronger and give you more information about the world.
Bhraitheann Anam worksheet
It’s called, ”Bhraitheann Anam” in Irish. In English that means “Soul Feel” or “Soul Sense”. Which is literally what we’re doing with the worksheet. We are practicing feeling spirit in the world with us.
I love worksheets.
I’m like a little kid who never grew out of getting fun worksheet hand outs in grade school. I think I like the blending of art and design and writing. I like having my attention focused on one question and a little box or circle or squiggle to fill in my answer…
I made a worksheet because I love them and I think they’re fun.
This one isn’t grade school sums.
It’s about learning how to hear the world. The actual world.
The natural plant and animal and wind water world.
…because it’s communicating love to us at every moment.
The Purpose
“Bhraitheann Anam” helps us to make the connection between the intuition and feeling energy we have with a particular plant, animal, insect or natural happening and then connect that feeling back to ourselves and our current life situation.
I have been doing this in a kind of willy-nilly way for most of my life. You probably have too, in some form or another.
I saw a significant increase in connection and understanding when I started to work through the steps one by one as outlined in the worksheet. It’s actually why I wanted to make the worksheet in the first place - so that I could keep myself focused and work through the connection in a grounded way to get to the most beneficial understanding.
I see intuition and empathetic ways of knowing as available to us all the time in infinite ways and waves. It’s easy to get off track or distracted and not follow the information from spirit into the rooting in the physical world. That’s what the worksheet does. Step by step - taking the empathetic feeling sense of spirit and connecting it to our physical reality as bodies in the world.
Bouichas
Bouichas is Irish. It means basically, gratitude, but it’s all encompassing gratitude.
It is the heart-felt love and appreciation for all things that exist with us in spirit and in physical life that contribute to our nurture and well being.
Bouichas is an essential state of being in which to connect and communicate with spirit in flesh. It’s a state of being to cultivate regularly, but moving through the steps of the worksheet, feeling bouichas for all things around you will help move this process forward.

We are Divine Wholiness together. You are God. You are Beloved Presence. You are the World, the Universe, all of Creation.
I ask uncomfortable questions and I speak uncomfortable truths. I have always done so and lived a good portion of my life believing that I was the problem. I spent most of my childhood and adult life being told to shush, or being called inappropriate because I ask questions that make people uncomfortable. I don't ask to be malicious or to judge. I ask because I am genuinely curious about you and your world and would like to know and understand who you are and how you see yourself in the world.
