19. Root: Body Dialogue

Connecting to What Is.

This class is entirely focused on practice - practice being in connection and communication with your body. I can’t stress enough what an ancient wisdom tool is your body. It knows so much and carries connection and answers beyond our rational mind’s ability to know. Our bodies are the antennae to the infinite. We cannot experience our fullest potential in physical incarnation without the consent and exuberant consent of our body.

So let’s ask.

Consent is a thing - on all levels, in all spaces. Our bodies are deserving of the respect of consent - from ourselves as much as others. Today, we connect to our bodies to communicate and establish consent and a baseline of functioning. Today we ask our bodies to tell us What Is.

The Practice

    • Start every communication with your body in mothaitheacht state.

    • lie down and get comfy and relaxed.

    • have an audio recording device so that you don’t have to interrupt this process to take notes

      • just verbalize what com

        es

    • View your body as a whole system. Your body is a family or society or system of parts working as a whole together.

      • each part of the body is a team member and relates to themself and all the other parts and to the whole.

    • Sit with that perspective of your body for a time.

      • sit until you are in a relaxed, comfortable emersion in the body wholeness.

    • You are the manager of the body and you need feedback to ensure proper function and happiness for all parts.

    • ask for feedback:

      • put your consciousness and attention on each area of your body separately and ask for feedback.

      • for example: put your attention and consciousness and focus on your feet and answer AS your feet… “I am the feet and I feel, think, want, need… etc.

      • answer as completely as that part of your body as possible.

      • when there is nothing left to share - move on to the next part.

    • Do your best to suspend judgement of what is being shared with you, or how it is being shared.

    • Do your best to allow your body to communicate with you fully, in trust and support and acceptance.

      • forgive yourself when you inevitably judge your body or yourself in some way. :D

    • After a break (you decide how long that break is - minutes, hours, days?), return to the body feedback recording and listen with awareness.

      • rewrite some of the feedback as yourself - substitute the body part with “I”: “I feel, think, want, need…” that was originally spoken by your body part.

      • your body is carrying your needs and desires - even when you don’t want to know or pay attention.

    • What is most significant or resonant to you? What stands out?

      • dialogue further with yourself further:

      • What can you do to help yourself around this need? What does the self need &/or want to feel safe and secure?

    • What steps can you put in place and act on to begin the process of establishing safety and security for your body/self?

    • Periodically return to this recording and review and re-visit this exercise.

      • It’s valuable to see what aspects of our body relationship are shifting and which ones are resistant to change.

    • Be on the look out for a sensory object that you can carry with you that will remind you to be aware of your body in your daily life.

      • a worry stone, fabric, kids sensory object, slinky… the possibilities are endless and based in your need and comfort level.

      • The purpose of the sensory object is to pull you out of your head or emotions and back into relationship with your body during times of stress or overwhelm or chaos.

      • Remember to breathe.

    • The MAP team is our spiritual “Medical Assistance Program” team. They are a personal team of spiritual resonance that assist to repair etheric/energetic damage in our body system.

      • When we engage the MAP team, we can move along our healing, understanding and perception without having to experience physical illness.

      • the MAP team cannot work on you without your specific ask - consent again.

    • before you go to bed, or have a nap, or sit/lie in meditation - ask out loud or in your head for your personal MAP team to come and help you out.

      • you can ask for a specific area of pain or irritation - or you can ask for them to use their own discretion and heal what is most needed.

      • express gratitude for their help and carry on with your sleep and meditation and know that spiritual/energetic help is doing Their thing.
